Description
Aescapulius and Hygeia
Aescapulius was the god of medicine and healing in Greek mythology. His Daughter, Hygeia, was the goddess of health and cleanliness and where we derive the word ‘hygiene’.
Both Aescapulius and Hygeia were important figures in ancient Greek religion, and they continue to be recognised today as symbols of healing, health and well-being.
